Satoshi Iue

Born in 1932. Graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Doshisha University in 1956 and joined SANYO Electric Co., Ltd. that same year. His previous appointments include the Director of the Board in 1961, President and CEO in 1986, and Chairman and CEO in 1992. This year he took on his current position as Executive Director. He has also served as Vice Chairman of the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 1995.

Keiji Ohga

Keiji Ohga is a professor of the Collage of Bioresource Sciences of Nihon University teaching food economics, environmental economics, and development economics. He is a professor emeritus of the University of Tokyo. Studied agricultural economics and got doctor degree in agriculture from the University of Tokyo. He is a member of High Level Panel for Department of Economic and Social Policy Department of FAO and lead ASEAN Food Security Model Building for FAO. He serves as the chairman of Food and Agriculture Committee of Japan Pacific Economic Cooperation Council, Chairman of Food Security Committee of Japan FAO Association. He has the experience of working for FAO in late 1970s, working for IFPRI in early 1990s. He is the original developer of the world food model for FAO and International Food Policy Simulation Model for IFPRI.

Shiro Segawa

Graduated from Arts & Sciences Department of the University of Tokyo in 1977 and joined The Mainichi Newspapers in 1978. He served as a science and environmental staff writer for The Mainichi Newspapers (1989-96), and as a correspondent in Washington DC (1996-2000). He covered Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 and US Presidential Election and global warming issue in US as Washington correspondent. Books(in Japanese): "Heart Transplant and Brain Death", "IC Card", "Scientific Analysis of Dietary Supplement", "Asia: Explosion of Three billion People"(co-author) etc.

Mihoko Tamamura

Obtained a B.A. (Litt.) from Kyoto University, Japan,an M.Sc. (Econ.) from London School of Economics, U.K., and an M.B.A. from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, France. After joining the United Nations in 1989,she assumed positions at UN headquarters and agencies,and was engaged in activities including peacekeeping, post-conflict reconstruction, economic and social development, and mine action assistance. Effective 1 June 2002, she was assigned to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to assume the position of Director of its Japan Office, and has since been promoting understanding of and assistance for the issues of hunger and poverty, by partnering with the Government, private corporations, NGOs, local authorities, etc. in Japan.
